Members,
Your club is about to go through a transformation over the summer. Starting this week we will begin a construction project that will see us create a more open feeling to the fitness floor and also see us add additional floor space. It will also allow us have an equipment configuration on the floor that will make it easier for you to have more efficient workouts and create an expanded stretching and dynamic fitness area.

Here are some details for you,
The fitness office will be relocated to the North East side of the club where the leg specific area currently is housed. Along with this the wall that separates the stretching area from the cardio theatre will also be removed. This will create better sight lines throughout the club and allow us to move all the selectorized equipment from its current location and create a layout that sees cable systems and free weights closer together.

The glass railing theme that we currently have in the cardio theatre will continue around the entire perimeter of the club. This will give the fitness floor a much more open feel and support the feeling of openess that we are looking to create throughout the fitness area.

We are creating an extension to the free weight area that will see over 600 sq.ft added. So you can better see this, the area behind the dumbbells is currently open space and we will build the floor there. It will also have a glass wall that will face centre court. This gives it a more open feel instead of having a closed off room.

By moving the selectorized equipment we will relocate the stretching area to the South South East corner of the club. This will allow us to have more space for stretching, dynamic fitness activities and be able to consider small group training.

With this in mind, we will need to make some temporary changes to the fitness floor. You will see some equipment removed so that we can accommodate some of the free weights where selectorized equipment currently resides. Once the construction is complete we will set up the floor so that you can begin enjoying your new space. As for time lines it is important to note the following,

- We will begin the office relocation Monday July 12.
- The free weight and stretching area will be closed from the July 19th until the end of construction in September.
- The rooftop track will have limited access until the end of July then it will be closed until the end of the construction.

The reason for these two closings are that the roof and the free weight area will house all the steel required for the glass railing wall and the floor extension. Plus, it being a construction zone it will be unsafe for any of us to be in that area.

During this time, we will do our best to accommodate all your fitness and personal training needs at the club. We are considering options that I will communicate to you over the next week. They include us being able to continue to work together both at the Cambridge Club and at our sister clubs in Toronto should the need arise. Please stay tuned to more information in the coming days.

Should you have any questions or would like to find out more I will be available to you at any time. My contact information is listed below for your records and convenience,
