38th ANNUAL CAMBRIDGE CLUB DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP
FOR THE JIM BENTLEY CUP

THE CONCEPT
The Cambridge Club Professional Doubles Championship is one of the premier professional squash
doubles tournament in the world which brings together the world's best players for a unique four
day event. The players compete for prize money and the coveted Jim Bentley Cup, while the
spectators are treated to squash doubles at its highest level.

THE HOST CLUB
Situated at The Sheraton Centre Hotel, in downtown Toronto, The Cambridge Club is a 25,000
square foot, 1,300 member, health, fitness, squash and dining club facility. Business professionals
from the financial services, legal and medical communities dominate the membership. Since
opening our doors over 30 years ago, the club has been recognized as the place where Toronto's
corporate elite come to exercise, play and dine. As one of the last all male facilities in existence, we
maintain our exulted reputation through our participation in community events. This enhances th.e
lives of our members, as well as the community at large. Since the club's inception, we have
chosen to foster the camaraderie and sportsmanship associated with doubles squash.

THE HISTORY
As a permanent fixture in the fall schedule, The Cambridge Club Professional Doubles has been a
yearly highlight for members and players alike since 1972. The past 39 years have seen some
of the world's greatest players take home the championship. With this, our 39th Anniversary year,
we are proud to present yet another exciting and prestigious tournament. Confirmed entries include
the top players in the World; Paul Price, Ben Gould, Damian Mudge, Viktor Berg, Matt Jensen, Clive
Leach, John Russell, Preston Quick, Willie Hosey, Mark Chalanor, Josh McDonald, Jonathon Power.

THE EVENT
By staging the event in November/December, we catch the squash season in full swing. The event
kicks off with a Friday Nig!lt Black Tie Extravaganza attended by over 200 Cambridge Club
members and their guests. The night features incredible food stations, gambling, live entertainment
and of course the infamous Calcutta where thousands of dollars are wagered on the tournament's
outcome. Play starts on Friday and concludes on Monday evening with the presentation of
the prestigious Jim Bentley Cup.

SQUASH DEMOGRAPHICS
Sixty percent of Canadian squash players live in Ontario. On average they are between 20 and 55 years of age with the split between males and females being about 75125. Most are professionals with a University education and an annual household income above $100,000.

They own their own homes (often valued over $250,000) and, at least, two automobiles. Their
interest in squash is primarily for physical conditioning, however, recreational interest play a
significant role in their motivation.
