If you’ve yet to enjoy the delicious dishes coming out of The Cambridge Club Oak Room, there truly is no better time. With the introduction his new Spring 2017 Menu, Executive Chef Deron Engbers has curated a collection of absolutely exquisite dishes sure to tantalize the taste buds.
Cambridge Club General Manager, Dean Brown, comments on the menu selections, “Being a Members-only restaurant, our challenge is to continually introduce new and exciting offerings to our Food and Beverage Program while still keeping our Cambridge Club classics that our Members love. I believe that this menu is a great mix of that philosophy. From our best-selling Cambridge Club Sandwich to our delicious daily chef creations, the Oak Room menu can satisfy our Members desire for a quick lunch while also being the perfect spot to impress a client.”
As a result of a Member-wide survey, Executive Chef Engbers used the feedback to manifest a menu that will satisfy even the most discerning foodie. In his own words, “Since I started 16 months ago, we’ve worked hard to sharpen the focus of the food on seasonality, locality, and overall health. We’ve switched up some of our suppliers, to work with people who share the same vision as us. Olliffe, our meat supplier, works hard to get the best Canadian beef, pork and chicken they can. We started working with 100km foods who are some of the leaders in farm to table produce, meat, and dairy. Our trout is also a great example. We get it 4 hours out of the water, every Tuesday, from an Ocean Wise certified trout farm near Tillsonburg, Ontario!
As well, with the survey, we listened to what the Members said, and thought carefully about the dishes we put on the menu. We tried to come out with a blend of healthy items with grains and proteins, and as well, some new meaty items. To increase selection for our Members, we brought on two new specials: a weekly pasta special and a Chef’s Special that changes every couple of weeks, to give our Members more choice, especially for those who dine with us on our regular basis.”
