After being a full time personal trainer at the Adelaide Club since 2003, Dena Ryde kept seeing the same roadblocks to success coming up for her clients – lack of proper nutrition! Even with careful planning with workout sessions there always seemed to be questions surrounding what to eat, why, how.... with so much misinformation out there she decided to embark on a journey to become a holistic nutritionist. In 2014 Dena started her program at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition to become a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (C.N.P) so she could be better equipped to help her clients overcome their nutritional obstacles and reach their best health. Dena shares her thoughts on the program below.
I recently graduated (yay me!) and it was an amazing, eye opening journey. If you aren’t sure what a holistic nutritionist does then I’ll tell you – I am a health care practitioner that focuses on the whole individual, including all aspects of lifestyle – emotional, spiritual, and physical health- to create a state of well being for optimum health.
So many of us, especially in the downtown core, are stressed out, sleep deprived and surviving on caffeine and sugar to get through our busy days. This roller-coaster can wreak havoc on our health but it doesn’t have to be this way! There are so many conflicting messages out there about what you should and shouldn’t do, it can be hard to even know where to start. That’s where I come in!
I’m here to help you find the program that is ideal for you and create strategies for change that are sustainable and you don’t feel deprived. I want you to have your best energy so you can tackle each day with vengeance. If you’d like to learn more please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org – I’d love to chat!!
