The Adelaide Club
is excited to announce its $1 million Lounge upgrade
The Club retained Julie Chapman as its lead designer on the project. When asked what her motivation and deliverables were, she answered, "Connectivity is key to the modern fitness club, and the new design features a communal work table as well as USB and power ports integrated into the banquette seating and bar area. We wanted to give Members options to utilize the Club as both a social and work space, in addition to their fitness routine. A new kitchen and inclusive bar design will highlight a full menu and provide additional areas for meeting and gathering. A sleek new marble wraparound bar paired with comfortable club seating will maximize comfort for Members and function for a new food service program."
Matt Cassells, General Manager of the Club said, "This newly upgraded Lounge will be a terrific addition to the Club. It is going to provide Members with a multitude of options while at the Club. Have a workout and then stick around to do some work on your laptop, while having a bite to eat or entertain a client in a Group Ex class and then have a meeting over a protein shake or my personal favorite, grab a workout and invite some friends down to watch the game on the new 115” multi-screen TV! The energy in the Club is unlike any other in the city and the upgrade to the Lounge will only enhance the social and fun elements Members love and look forward to."
In addition, Adelaide Club will be using the upgrade of the Lounge area as an opportunity to donate all existing furniture to a very worthwhile cause and one of our charitable partners, Urban Squash Toronto.
The Adelaide Club is located in the heart of the Financial District in Toronto and is accessible through the PATH system.
