Leaky gut? What is that? It certainly doesn’t sound very good, does it? It is a rapidly growing condition that many people are struggling with and don’t even know. Your digestive tract is like a net with tiny holes in it that only allow specific substances to pass through. If the holes in the net become bigger, then larger particles that we don’t want in our bloodstream can pass through, which can damage our system. Some of the things that can pass through include proteins like gluten, bad bacteria and undigested food particles causing inflammation and an immune response (which is bad!)
